Theft at New Trier, Two Burglaries, Criminal Damage: Winnetka Police Blotter

April 30

Theft: An 18-year-old female from Wilmette was charged with theft at 12:09 p.m. at 385 Winnetka Ave., where New Trier High School is located. said the charge followed an investigation into several thefts in the girls' locker room on April 26. Her court date is June 12.

Burglary: A person reported that someone took his black Tom Tom GPS unit from his unlocked van between 12:20 p.m. and 12:34 p.m. in the 1000 block of Gage Street. The estimated loss is $200.

May 1

Residential Burglary: A resident reported that someone took two bicycles from her attached open garage on April 30 between 5:15 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. in the 1000 block of Dinsmore Road. The bikes are described as one red, 20-inch, 7-speed Schwinn Mini Mesa and one royal blue DBX Vanquish. Both are boys' bikes. The estimated loss is $400.

Criminal Damage: Someone reported that the rear driver side door and back fender of his car were scratched between 12 p.m. and 12:59 p.m. in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. The repair cost is unknown.

May 2

Suspended Driver's License: A 22-year-old female from Evanston was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license at 9:13 p.m. in the 500 block of Green Bay Road. Police also cited her for no proof of insurance and for driving with one head light. Her court date is June 12.
