Glencoe Blotter: Burglary, Theft and Forgery, Plus In-State Warrant

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 10

Burglary from motor vehicle: A victim reported at 10:06 a.m. that items were taken from her unlocked vehicle, parked in the business district of Glencoe on the 300 block of Park Avenue, on Jan. 9. Items taken include a Louis Vuitton clutch purse and wallet, driver’s license, cash, credit cards and ID cards. The estimated loss is about $210.

Jan. 21

Theft and forgery: A victim reported that between Nov. 1 and Jan. 16 someone took five checks valued at $1,000 from his residence on the 400 block of Greenwood Avenue. The check were made out to cash in banks around the Chicago area.

Jan. 26

Burglary: A victim reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and 10:03 p.m. his house on the 200 block of Lake Street was entered through an unlocked rear sliding door. Items taken include a 40-inch television, an Amazon Kindle tablet, a Yale Rowing Club 24-carat gold medallion, red leather Cartier box with papers, and iPod docking station. The estimated loss is about $3,400.

In-state warrant: A 31-year-old man from Chicago turned himself in at 2:30 p.m. for an in-state warrant out of Mount Prospect. The warrant was for driving with a suspended license. He was released on a $500 bond, and Glencoe police turned over his case to the police in Mount Prospect.
