Christ Church in Winnetka hosts the oldest rummage sale in the country, and it is also one of the highest grossing rummage sales too. The church hosts one sale in the summer and another in the fall. Volunteers work year-round to sort donations. Proceeds are donated in the form of Benevolence Grants to many charities and philanthropies in the Chicago area.
