While feasting on sandwiches and salads, more than 200 community movers and shakers clapped through a fashion show and award presentations for the 2012 Recognition Lunch. The hosted the event, which is in its 36th year, at the .

  • Business Leader of the Year: Patrick O'Neil (O'Neil's, Little Ricky's and Trifecta Grill)
  • Man of the Year: Toby Nicholson (Children's Theatre of Winnetka)
  • Woman of the Year: Vicky Young (The Winnetka Club)
  • Educator of the Year: Cindy Razniewski (Sacred Heart School)
  • Village of Winnetka Employee of the Year: Steve Saunders (Winnetka Public Works)
  • Public Safety Employee of the Year: Inspector Randy Fromm (Winnetka Fire Department)
  • PTO Volunter of the Year: District 36 PTO Presidents
