Take the stress out of last minute shopping and shop in Winnetka and Northfield.

Tick, tick, tock, the holiday clock is running out of time.  Short on ideas, time and patience?  Shop the many, great shops in Winnetka and Northfield for last minute gifts. There are wonderful gifts in store for shoppers at merchants in both villages.

The holiday season means dressing up the kids. Stop by Marian Michael in the Laundry Mall, 566 Chestnut Street in Winnetka. Pick up a new sport coat for the young gentleman or a holiday dress for your favorite girl.  Holiday dresses are 25% off.  Marian Michael has been in business for over 60 years and has clothing and gift items for boys and girls. 

In the East Elm shopping district in Winnetka be sure to go into Maze Home, 735 Elm Street. They have a wonderful array of items.  While there check out the limited edition cutting boards with inlays of either the Great Lakes, the Chicago city flag or Britain’s Union Jack. These will be a great conversation piece, currently available in-store only, $45-$95 each.

Around the corner from Maze home take a walk to Round Table Books, 572-B Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka will bring back great memories. This bookstore has a great collection of rare, antiquarian and collectible books. Give the gift of reading with something from the Book Stall at Chestnut Court. This treasured bookseller at 811 Elm Street, Winnetka has a great variety of books and encourages customers to read globally and shop locally. 

After you leave the Book Stall, stroll up the block to Vose-Sanders Bootery at 837 Elm Street in Winnetka and pick up a pair of cozy slippers or a pair of warm gloves. Vose-Sanders has a wide selection and friendly, attentive staff to assist you with your purchases.

Almost finished with your shopping, make a quick trip to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, 300 Happ Road, Northfield and pick up some fantastic pretzel bark, homemade fudge or hand dipped caramel apples. Grab some tantalizing treats for your neighbors and one for yourself, you deserve it.
