Celebrate the Holiday Weekend with Winnetka-Northfield Chamber

Get a rundown of holiday events in Winnetka and Northfield. All are invited!

The invites you to EAT! SHOP! ENJOY! in Winnetka and Northfield this holiday season.

Visit our unique shops with unparalleled service and charming restaurants with exceptional cuisine all in the incomparable surroundings of our beautiful villages. The holidays are a special time of year for you, your friends and family.

Joyous festivities will start the season on Friday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. at Northfield Village Center, 300 S. Happ Road, Northfield. Please join Fred Gougler, Village of Northfield Council president, and Northfield residents as they light a holiday tree. Children are asked to bring an ornament to place on the tree. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory will have hot chocolate for those in attendance after the tree lighting.

In Winnetka on Friday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m., join us for the annual Winnetka tree lighting ceremony to usher in the holidays in Station Park—Elm Street and Green Bay Road across the street from Winnetka Village Hall. Bring your family, friends, and caroling voice!  Village of Winnetka President Jessica Tucker along with Chamber President Peggy Swartchild will assist with lighting up the tree.  Festive carolers in Victorian costumes will lead the carols. After the illumination of the tree, stroll over to , 819 Elm St., after the lighting ceremony for hot cocoa. 

On Saturday, Dec. 3, Coldwell Banker Winnetka, 568 Lincoln Ave., will host carriage rides, provide sweet treats and a visit from Santa Claus. In the Hubbard Woods shopping district, carolers from Hubbard Woods School will be caroling.

On Sunday, Dec. 4, the merchants of Winnetka and Northfield will open their doors and make available gift choices for the holiday season. This year 32 merchants are participating in the Holiday Sale and will offer refreshments and discounts on fantastic items and they will help you select the perfect gift. 

Make a sweet holiday treat at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Children are welcome to come in a dip and decorate a holiday treat.
