North Shore Triathlon to Take Place Sunday

There's a lot going on this weekend — here are our top picks of how you should spend it.

Free Concert at the Rock House: PJ Loughran, a Chicago-based musician, will be performing a free two-hour set at the Rock House in Wilmette on Saturday at 7 p.m. Join him while he revisits some old songs and plays a few new ones — and be sure to check out the Rock House's wine list while you're at it. North Shore Triathlon: Whether you're an athlete or just an observer, the first annual North Shore Triathlon is sure to be a blast. The big race is set for Sunday at 6:45 a.m. — and there will be road closures abound. For more information on the race and the closures, go here

A Saturday in Glencoe...in 1935: Roland Calhoun, local historian and Glencoe longtime resident, will entertain attendees at the Glencoe Public Library on Sunday with his recollections of what it was like growing up in Glencoe in the 1930s. The event will be held at the Public Library at 2 p.m. More information is available here.

Northfield Farmer's MarketCheck out the wide variety of items available for sale at the Northfield Farmer's Market this weekend! Held across the street from the New Trier High School Northfield campus, there's sure to be something for everyone. 

Make and Take Craft TimeThe Winnetka Public Library will be holding a make-and-take craft time for the budding artist in your life! This event will be held on Fri. from 3:30 until 4:30 in the Lloyd Room.
