Score: North Shore Country Day School 2-1 Elgin Academy (OT)

Highlights: North Shore played against an undefeated Elgin Academy team on Friday. It was one of North Shore's best performances of the season with North Shore controlling possession and playing some great combinations. Against the run of play, Elgin scored in the 22nd minute, capatilizing on a rebound in the North Shore penalty area. North Shore responded within 5 minutes with Riley Hall scoring off a Ben Potter delivery. In the second half, North Shore again came out strong creating chance after chance. It was a combination of inspired goalkeeping by the Elgin goalkeeper and failure to find the target from North Shore that kept the score at 1-1 at the end of regulation play. The game headed into overtime and with 3 minutes gone in the first overtime, North Shore won a corner. Potter delivered a high ball to the back post and Floris Hondmann rose above the Elgin players at the back post and headed the ball into the top corner. North Shore kept things secure at the back for the remaining seven minutes of overtime and North Shore goalkeeper Alex Karmin made a wonderful save as North Shore held on for the win and two league points.

Opponent: Lycee Francais

Location: Home (Homecoming Weekend)

Date: 9/15/12

Highlights: On Homecoming weekend, North Shore Country Day School Soccer Team put in a stellar, controlled performance. From minute one, the game never looked in doubt. North Shore moved the ball around well, making Lycee Francais, with some gifted individuals, chase the ball. North Shore's goals came from freshmen Ben Potter (2) and Will Lawler, Sophomore Gordie Rorhbach and Senior Riley Hall.
