9th Congress District Results: Schakowsky Vs. Wolfe

Democrat Jan Schakowksy will continute to represent the 9th District. She has about a 30,000 vote lead with 306 of 336 precincts reporting.

Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) conceded the election to Democratic challenger Brad Schneider, according to Schneider campaign manager Reed Adamson.

With only three precincts left to report votes, Glenn Farkas has confirmed he conceded the race to Daniel Biss.

“I can’t say that it’s unexpected,” Farkas said in a phone interview. “We came in late, we knew it had been won by Schoenberg in the past.” 

Morrison Defeats Friedman in IL 29th State Senate Race

Democrat Julie Morrison has won the race against Republican Arie Friedman with nearly 53 percent of the votes.

Gabel Defeats Lieberman in 18th State House District

With 82 of 84 precincts reporting and Robyn Gabel still holding a sizable lead; Eric Lieberman has conceded the race.

Drury Wins IL 58th District State House Race

Scott Drury has won the 58th District State House race against Mark Shaw. 

In results so far from Lake and Cook counties, Drury leads with 55 percent and 66 percent of the votes respectively or about 5,550 votes.

Glencoe Voters Approve Infrastructure Bond Referendum

The majority of Glencoe voters approved the referendum authorizing the Village of Glencoe to issue $8.55 million in bonds.

Northfield Voters Approve Electricity Aggregation Referendum

About 75 percent of voters approved authorizing the Village of Northfield to seek cheaper electricity for the community.
