Northfield Township Extends Hours on Thursdays

The change is aimed at better serving residents who work during the day.

Starting Aug. 8, Northfield Township’s office and food pantry will be open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays, to provide better service for residents who work during the day, and there’s no additional cost for the change, according to township officialChicago Tribune reported.

Apart from providing services such as vehicle stickers, access to the food pantry, voter registration and passport pictures, the extended hours also provide more opportunities for volunteering, “Recently, I had two moms come up to me and ask if there were opportunities for kids to volunteer after-hours,” Northfield Township Supervisor Jill Brickman told the website.
