New Northfield Board Commissions Stormwater Study

Trustees also approved construction contracts in their monthly meeting Tuesday.

Northfield's village council saw a changing of the guard Tuesday night before trustees got down to village business.

Trustees commissioned a stormwater study by Christopher Burke Engineering for $20,000. The new study will build on a previous study completed in 2009 that developed a plan for minor projects that could be done to improve the village's system for handling flood water.

"The next chance is to say, 'what is the best way to approach the installation of this infrastructure," said Stacy Sigman, village manager.
