$29,000 to be Spent on Hubbard Woods Street Pole Painting

A contract was passed by Winnetka trustees allowing for 20 street poles around Huggard Woods to be repainted.

Twenty-five steel street poles throughout Winnetka will receive a new coat of paint, after a measure was passed by the Winnetka trustees, according to an article by Winnetka Talk. The $29,020 contract was awarded to Pete the Painter and means that light poles, fixtures and traffic signals throughout the Hubbard Woods business district will receive a new coat of paint. Repairing all 60 streetlight poles around the city would cost approximately $80,000.

Control cabinets and traffic signals at Scott Ave. and Green Bay Rd. and at the intersection of Gate St. and Green Bay Rd. will be among those painted, according to the Winnetka Talk article.
