Woman Rescued from Water at Glencoe Beach

The woman was placed on life support after being rescued for a reported back injury.

A woman was rescued by emergency personnel on Monday after suffering an injury while swimming at the Glencoe Beach, according to an article by ABC 7. The woman reportedly hurt her back. She was put on advanced life support care and transported to to the Evanston Hospital. 

The beach was closed for the remainder of Monday due to strong currents, the ABC 7 article states. Authorities also issued a warning to the community about rip currents.
