Winnetka Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance

The following information was supplied by the Winnetka Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Nov. 1

Possession of a controlled substance – A 51-year-old resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The man and a 31-year-old Evanston resident were also charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe. This arrest was made subsequent to a 911 call for a report of an unresponsive subject on the premises of a house on the 300 block of Rosewood Ave. Their court dates were Nov. 2.

Identity theft – A victim discovered an unknown offender attempted to change the victim’s address and open a new credit card account from Capital One. This occurred sometime on Oct. 25. There is no reported loss at this time.

Possession of cannabis – Two male juveniles from Glenview, one 17 years old and the other 16 years old, were cited for possession of cannabis. Their court dates are scheduled for Dec. 9.

Intimidation – A 36-year-old man from Round Lake was arrested for intimidation. The subject was taken into custody at 8:14 a.m. on Nov. 1 while at his home in Round Lake and was transported to the Winnetka Police Department for processing. This arrest was made subsequent to an investigation of an incident occurring on Oct. 13. His court date was Nov. 2. 

Oct. 31

Cannabis activity – A 16-year-old male from the New Trier Township area was cited for possession of cannabis. His court date is scheduled for Dec. 9.
