Two DUI Arrests, Recurring Graffiti Reports

The following reports were provided by the Winnetka Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not guarantee guilt.

DUI
On Nov. 26, officers arrested Bekir Veletovac, 23, of Des Plaines, for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to police. He was also cited for having an obstructed windshield, excessive braking and improper lane usage, police say. 

On Dec. 2, Pablo Garcia, 18, of Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and cannabis, according to police. He was also cited for no proof of insurance, failure to notify Secretary of State of change of address, improper display of plates, improper lane usage, no rear registration light and illegal transportation of alcohol, police say. 

Criminal Defacement
On Nov. 26, an officer found graffiti on the 600 block of Pine Street, according to police. Markers and paint were used to deface walkway signs and the bridge, police say. 

On Nov. 28, an officer found graffiti near Willow Road and Wilson Avenue, according to police. Spray paint was used to deface the tunnel, the embankment above the tunnel and numerous village
signs, according to police.
