Police: $900 Worth of Hockey Equipment Stolen From Rink
The following arrest information was supplied by the Winnetka Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Theft
A victim reported that between August 7 and August 8, his pair of hockey skates were removed from the Referee Room at the Winnetka Ice Arena. The amount of loss is reported at $700.
Theft
A victim at the Winnetka Ice Arena reported to police that between August 5 and August 6, an unsecured hockey stick was removed from the rink. The amount of loss is reported at $200.
Cannabis Activity
Joshua Douglas Hawkins, 18, of Wilmette is being charged with possession of cannabis, resisting and obstructing a peace officer and being a minor in possession of alchol, according to Winnetka Police reports. He was stopped by police on the 100 block of Green Bay Rd. on Aug, 9.

Matthew Gavin, 23, of Wilmette is being charged with possession of cannabis, according to Winnetka Police reports. He was stopped by police on August 10 on the intersection of Hill Rd. and Ridge Rd.
