Northfield Police Searching For Man Who Tried to Lure Girl

The man is described as white, over 45 years old, wearing a red shirt and having an European accent.

are investigating a possible attempt to lure a girl around 1 p.m. Friday, according to a village alert. 

A 13-year-old girl was walking home southbound on Riverside Drive near Stockton Drive when a man in the passenger seat of a silver four-door midsize vehicle approached her, according to the alert. 

The man was described as Caucasian, over 45 years old, wearing a red polo shirt, average height and build, and having an European accent.

The man opened his front passenger side door and yelled, “Come, come here,” while gesturing for the girl to go over, according to the alert. 

The girl refused and fled the area. The car then made a U-turn and left the area westbound on Winnetka Road.

The offender is described as a white male with white, medium-length hair parted to the left. The man is assumed to be over 45-years-old, possibly blue eyes and with average height and build.

The suspect has no facial hair, was wearing a red polo shirt during the incident and had a European accent. The vehicle was also occupied by a female driver (unknown description) and a female backseat passenger with short, dirty blonde hair.
