Northfield Police Blotter: Thievery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

March 9

Theft: Dominick's employees allegedly discovered missing liquor when they went through their inventory in the morning. Upon reviewing the security footage from March 8, they saw unknown individuals steal 16 bottles of alcohol, including Grey Goose and Hennessy, police said. The total damages came to $684.84. The case is still under investigation.

March 10

Theft: charged a 38-year-old woman with shoplifting at Dominick's in an incident unrelated to the March 8 theft. Employees allegedly watched her move through the aisles putting various items in her purse — salsa, cookies, candy, cat food, magazines, and lunch meat — totaling $56.91. She left the store but was compelled to return by security personnel, according to police. She was released on a $1,500 i-bond, and her court date is March 26.

Suspended license: A patrol officer stopped a 28-year-old Highland Park man at about 1:35 a.m. for driving with expired registration. He was also driving on a suspended license, according to police. The man was released on a $3,000 i-bond, and his court date is April 5.
