Northfield Police Blotter: Theft and License Flouters
The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Feb. 27
No driver's license: A 29-year-old Prospect Heights man was stopped for allegedly driving 48 mph in a 35-mph zone. The officer said he discovered that the driver had never been issued a driver's license. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond and given a court date of April 5.

No driver's license: Two drivers were cited for never having been issued drivers' licenses after one of them allegedly caused a four-car accident at about 3:45 p.m. Police said one driver, a 26-year-old woman from Schiller Park, failed to stop her 2005 Ford Focus at a stop sign while she was heading westbound on Bosworth Lane toward Wagner Road. She struck a 2003 Chrysler Caravan, which was driven by a 51-year-old Chicago woman. The van then struck two vehicles parked in the driveway of a residence in the 200 block of Wagner Road. Both women were charged for not having drivers' licenses. They were each released on a $1,500 i-bond, and they face a court date of March 26.

No driver's license: stopped a vehicle with one headlight in the 1900 block of Willow Road. The driver, a 28-year-old man from Prospect Heights, was also allegedly driving without a license and proof of insurance. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond and goes to court on March 26.
March 4
Theft: Police responded to the 200 block of Lockwood Avenue, where a taxi driver said his passenger, a juvenile, had failed to pay the fare. The 15-year-old Northfield boy was apparently visiting a friend. Police contacted his parents, the boy made restitution, and no charges were pressed.
No driver's license: An officer stopped a 25-year-old Bensenville man who was driving west on Willow Road without his headlights on. Police said he had insurance but had never been issued a driver's license. He posted a $1,500 i-bond and has court on March 26.
March 5
Harassment by phone: A Northfield woman hired a caretaker for her elderly mother. However, the caretaker was let go after two weeks. The caretaker's daughter, a 43-year-old Northfield woman, allegedly called the employer between 50 and 60 times to yell at her. Police advised her to cease and desist.
March 6
Suspended license: Police stopped a car exiting onto Willow Road from I-94 because its headlights were off. The driver, a 32-year-old Chicago woman, quickly switched them on, but police said the officer discovered that she was driving on a suspended license. She was released on a $1,500 i-bond. Her court date is April 5.
