Northfield Police Blotter: Drugs, Fraud and Fireworks

A summary of events from April 13 to 18.

The following items are taken from the Northfield Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Please email the editor with any questions or to provide proof of expungement.

April 13:

Fraud: A business owner called police about debit card charges he didn't authorize. The purchases, which came to just under $200, were made in January and February.

April 14:

Drugs: Police arrested Lori A. Rudnick of Melrose Park at 7:30 a.m. when they found marijuana and four smoking pipes after stopping her vehicle on Willow Road because her registration was suspended. She was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and given a court date of May 25.

April 16:

Fireworks: Six adolescents were shooting off fireworks at Bristol Street and Willow Road by Clarkson Park. Police seized the explosives around 8:45 p.m.
