Northfield Police Blotter: Burglary and License Plate Theft
The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. In the case of an arrest, individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Burglary
A resident in the 200 block of Wagner Road came home in the evening on June 14 to discover someone had used a crowbar to gain entrance into the home from the back door. The individual's possessions had been ransacked and jewelry was stolen. The loss was estimated at more than $500.

Theft
An unknown individual stole the rear license plate from a car belonging to an employee of Transworld Exhibits, 1850 Oak Street on June 14.

Traffic
Police stopped a 35-year-old Melrose Park man in the 200 block of Riverside on June 14 for pulling a trailer with an expired registration sticker. Officers then discovered the motorist had no valid driver's license and another sticker on his vehicle was improperly displayed. He was cited for all three offenses and released on a $1,500 i-bond. A court date was set for July 10.
