Mysterious Person Entered Oak St. Home

There were also two incidents of cannabis activity in the most recent Winnetka police blotter.

Criminal trespass

An unknown person entered a home in the 1000 block of Oak St. on March 31 around 11:30 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.

Trespass

Mario A. Martinez, 63, of Chicago was cited for knowingly trespassing on private property in the 00 block of Green Bay Road March 31 at 2 p.m.

Theft

Someone stole an unattended laptop from the lobby stairwell of a building in the 300 block of Winnetka Avenue on Marhc 31 between 8:30 and 9 a.m. The laptop was a black and red Verizon jetpack 4G LTE mobile worth $200.

Cannabis activity

Samantha M. Kaplan, 25, of Highland Park, was arrested for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia April 6 at 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road. She was also cited for speeding. Her court date is April 24.
