Identity Stolen Through Gmail Account
The following reports were provided by the Winnetka Police Department.
Identity Theft
On Dec. 4, a Winnetka resident discovered that someone gained access to a personal Gmail account and completed a wire transfer transaction for $1000.00, according to police.
Burglary
On Dec. 5, a resident on the 200 block of Poplar Street someone had forcibly entered their home and removed an envelope containing about $50.00, police say.
