A 49-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday.
Robert R. Dunton, of 1713 Northfield Square, succumbed to his injuries at Evanston Hospital at 8:45 p.m. after being hit by a car driven by Maria Domann, 79, of Glenview about two and a half hours earlier.
The accident occurred at 6:09 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Happ Road, but the exact details of how Dunton was hit are unclear. The Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) is investigating.

"The accident is being investigated by MCAT, so we unfortunately have no other details at this time," said Lorene Boyes, the communications supervisor for the Northfield Police Department. "Reports will be flowing in today and tomorrow. More information will be available as we get it."
