Obituary: Former Glencoe Resident Barbara Savitt Lauded For Love, Energy
The former Wilmette school principal died March 27 at the age of 81.
Former Glencoe resident Barbara Savitt, who served for 27 years at Wilmette Public Schools District 39, passed away at the age of 81 on March 27, after a brief battle with cancer, Wilmette Life reported.
Cathy Flemming, a former Harper Elementary School teacher while Savitt served as the school’s principal, says Savitt was great at spontaneous community building, as well as supporting students and teachers through her decades of teaching and administration, Wilmette Life reported.
