Music behind the Iron Curtain (Class)

The strictly controlled and closely monitored artistic environment imposed by Soviet officials was extremely oppressive - even inhospitable - to many of Russia's musicians and composers.  Nonetheless, an impressive amount of important music arose from this restrictive milieu. In this class, Michael Vaughn of National Louis University will explore the fascinating history of music in Soviet Russia.
