Police: Juveniles Threw Eggs at Man Waiting for Train

The following arrest information was provided by the Winnetka Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Identity Theft
A victim on the 700 block of Elm St. Discovered that on June 11, an unknown offender(s) made unauthorized purchases using his debit card, police reports state. The amount of loss is reported at $586.85. 

Cannabis Activity
Robert Dubinski, 18, of Arlington Height was cited for possession of cannabis on the 300 block of Sunset Rd. on June 11, police reports state. His court date is set for July 10. 

Traffic Arrest
Ronnie Amos, 41, of Chicago is being charged with driving without a valid driver's license, failing to signal when required and improper lane usage, police reports state. The incident occurred on the 500 block of Green Bay Rd. on June 12. His court date is set for July 17. 

Theft
Augustin Ortiz, 36, of Chicago is being charged with theft and possession of cannabis, police reports state. The arrest was made subsequent to a 911 investigation of an iPhone theft. Ortiz was arrested on June 13 on the 800 block of Green Bay Rd.

Possession of a Controlled Substance
A male juvenile, 16, from the New Trier Township area was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, police reports state. The arrest was made subsequent to an investigation of a previous incident that occurred on May 1. The arrest was made at New Trier High School on June 14. His court date is set for July 25. 

Cannabis Activity
Christopher Caan, 18, of Evanston was cited for possession of cannabis, police reports state. A female juvenile, 17, from Evanston was also cited for possession of cannabis, police reports state. The two local ordinance citations were issued during a traffic stop at the intersection of Scott Ave. and Sheridan Rd. on June 15 where Caan was a passenger and the juvenile was the driver. Their court date is July 10.

Traffic Arrest
Refugio Cruz-Salinas, 35, of Northfield is being charged with driving without a valid driver's license, disobeying a traffic control device (no turn on red) and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, police reports state. Cruz-Salinas was stopped at the intersection of Green Bay Rd. and Pine St. on June 15. His court date is set for July 17. 

Disorderly Conduct
A victim on the 900 block of Greenwood Ave. reported finding a suspicious handwritten note at the front door of his residence on June 15, police reports state. The investigation is ongoing. 

Cannabis Activity
Kimberly Alisa Huggins, 28, of Chicago was cited on June 16 for possession of cannabis, police reports state. Huggins was stopped on the 800 block of Sheridan Rd. on June 16. Her court date is set for July 10. 

Battery
A victim on the 100 block of Northwestern Dr. reported that several juveniles ran up to him on June 9 on the train platform and threw eggs at him while he was waiting for the train, police reports state. The investigation is ongoing.
