Dog Bites Two People in Two Days

A Great Dane belonging to a Glencoe resident bit two people in two days, according to Glencoe Public Safety reports.

The dog first bit a man at the Glencoe Beach on July 12 while the Great Dane was tied to a lifeguard chair. The owner was issued two citations — one for having a dog at the beach and another for a dog bite.

The next day, on July 13, the same dog reportedly bit a woman while at the field at Central School. A woman, according to police reports, stumbled over the dog. in response, the Great Dane jumped up and bit her.

Because of the two consecutive bites, the dog's owner is due in court in Skokie on August 7.
