The 29th Annual Frank Mantooth Jazz Festival at New Trier High School will take place on Saturday, February 4th, 2012. The event is a day packed with free performances and clinics, and is topped off with an evening performance featuring New Trier's Jazz Ensemble 1, followed by this year's featured guest artists - The Chicago Jazz Ensemble with guest Nicholas Payton! The CJE, led by drummer Dana Hall (one of the Chicago Tribune's Chicagoans of the year in 2009), is Chicago's premier jazz ensemble. Nicholas Payton is a New Orleans bred, world-renowned trumpeter.
