Haiku Poets to Meet

Beginning and experienced haiku poets will meet, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Winnetka Public Library, 768 Oak St., Winnetka, to share and critique their haiku. Free and open to the public, pre-registration is required.

Haiku is one to four lines, captures the moment, and it has a reference to nature or human nature. It originated in Japan in the 1600s, and is considered an international art form, written in more than 25 languages.
