Always had a hunch for the weather and think you can feel it in your bones? Then check your stats with the North Shore's own meteorologist.
This will be an ideal weekend to take it easy and enjoy quiet December weather. This weather will also be good for putting up holiday lights, singing Christmas carols or perhaps watching a classic holiday film such as "Christmas Vacation" or "It’s A Wonderful Life." The is always nice too.

The Week In Preview
Weekend Pattern- A quiet weekend is expected with more of a west to east pattern across the country. High pressure will also dominate the West and Midwest with tranquil weather conditions over the much of our region. Cold weather will begin to ease by Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
Early to Midweek Pattern- A front will move through the Upper Midwest on Monday with possibly a few sprinkles and flurries passing to our north over Wisconsin. It looks like the front will pass through dry with quiet weather conditions continuing Monday through much of Wednesday.
Late Week Pattern- A storm system will likely form somewhere in the Southern Plains and possibly move up toward the Ohio Valley or Great Lakes region. At this time, the air looks warm enough produce some rain with possibly a few flurries by next Friday or Saturday.
Temperatures: We are currently experiencing some of the coldest air of the season with highs in the mid 20s expected today. Even though the weekend will be quiet, temperatures will still average below normal but should gradually moderate by late in the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Warmer air will move in from the west with highs in the upper 30 and lower 40s Monday through Wednesday. With the approach of a storm system toward the end of the week, temperatures may turn colder again toward the end of the week and next weekend.
