Sketch comedy, for , is a lot of work. Unlike improv, where the comedy comes from quick thinking and spontaneity, sketch comedy requires months of rehearsal, props and, in The Comic Thread's case, sound effects and costumes. featured the cast dressing (and, in some cases, undressing) as the Amish, medieval royalty and Nazis.

"Our material is usually a weird world, and there's a normal guy, and everyone's looking at him like he's a weirdo," The Comic Thread founder Nic DeGrazia said.
When he's not rehearsing with The Comic Thread, DeGrazia runs Bitter Jester, a video production company he operates out of his Highland Park home.
