New Friends Park Officially Opens
A ribbon cutting for the new and improved Friends Park was held Thursday evening.
It's taken over a year from start until finish, but the hard work paid off on Thursday when officials cut the ribbon at the new Friends Park in Glencoe.
Friends Park, which features new equipment, new ground and a new water fountain, officially opened to a huge crowd of families Thursday evening.
"We'll continue to honor what Friends Park was for 20 years," said Bob Kimble at the ribbon cutting. "It has been a center of the community and we hope it will continue to be a center of the community."
