Residents Can Still Appeal to FEMA

Those who were denied FEMA assistance — or do not agree with the report or amount of resistance received — can appeal the organization's decision.

Although registration for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance for those affected by the flooding and severe weather this spring has ended (on August 8), it's not too late for those who missed it to appeal.

One may appeal within 60 days if they do not agree with the inspection report, the amount of assistance or were denied assistance. The appeal letter can be sent to FEMA at FEMA - Individuals and Households Program, National Processing Service Center, P.O. Box 10055, Hyattsville, MD 20782-7055 or faxed to (800) 827-8112.
