A Virtual Tour of Glencoe's Historic Sites

The former trustee and president of the Glencoe Historical Society now gives architecture tours of Chicago, but she gave this tour of Glencoe for Patch.

After four decades at the Glencoe Historical Society and eight years on the village's Board of Trustees, Ellen Shubart has stepped down from public life, but she's staying active as a tour guide for the Chicago Architecture Foundation.

Glencoe was founded in 1869 and is not without its own set of notable historic sites, as Shubart recently showed Patch. Scroll through the photos to see some place you may have seen around the village and get a brief tale of each place, as seen through Shubart's eyes.
