Woman Arrested for Reporting Fake Shooting

A woman is being charged with disorderly conduct after police state she called in a false shooting to get Northfield cops to stop following a vehicle she was in.

A Chicago woman is being charged for disorderly conduct after calling 911 with a false report of a shooting in Glencoe, police reports state.

Kori Jamison, 22, called police on June 18 when she was being followed by cops in Northfield, authorities say. Jamison meant to throw the police off of her trail, but instead the call was received by Glencoe Police. Jamison told 911 dispatchers that there was a shooting at 363 Park Ave.

Glencoe Public Safety found nothing at the address.

Jamison was picked up by police in Northfield for an unrelated charge. When Glencoe officers arrived at the Northfield station to interview her, she allegedly laughed and said, 'he died' about the shooting victim. She later admitted that nobody had been shot and nobody was dead, reports state.

Police believe that Jamison looked at a map on her phone when her and three others were being followed by police in Northfield. She saw that 363 Park Ave. was a mile away and called in a false 911 call to attempt to get the police to stop trailing her.

Jamison is being charged with a class 4 felony count of disorderly conduct. Her court date is set for June 27.
