Northfield Police Locate Missing Indiana Man

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Missing Person Found
On Aug. 20, a caller reported speaking to an elderly man who was parked on the Edens/Willow Road exit ramp, asking for directions to Indiana, police say. The elderly man seemed disoriented and confused, according to the caller, police say. Officers found the man near Sunset Ridge Road and Drury Lane, and identified him as a reported missing person from Lawrence, IN, according to police. The man told officers he wasn't sure how long he had been driving for, and was transported to the hospital, according to police. 

Lawrence is about 300 miles away from Northfield.

Vehicular Burglary
On Aug. 21, officers charged Thomas Richard Harris, 22, of Skokie, with Felony Attempted Vehicular Burglary after a resident on the 100 block of Sunset Ridge Road witnessed Harris attempt to enter the resident's car, according to police. 

On Aug. 20, someone broke into a car at the College of American Pathologists parking lot, at 325 Waukegan Rd., and took two black leotards, two pairs of black tights, a pair of ballet shoes, a black ballet skirt and a workout shirt, according to police. 

Hit and Run
On Aug. 22, a Madison, WI resident was traveling along Willow Road when a car in the opposite lane drove into the wrong lane, causing the driver from Madison to swerve, according to police. The car that drove into the wrong lane still sideswiped the Madison driver, causing damage to the car's exterior and suspension, police say. The offending vehicle could not be identified, according to police.
