Tires Punctured at Four Winnetka Homes

Vehicles at four Winnetka homes were damaged between the evening of July 3 and the morning of July 4.

Four Winnetka residents woke up on the morning of the Fourth of July to find their vehicles damaged, according to Winnetka Police reports.

Two vehicles on the 700 block of Locust St. and two vehicles between 900 and 1100 Westmoor Rd. were damaged between the evening of July 3 and the morning of July 4, reports state. The vehicles that were damaged were all parked in the driveway of the homes. One home on the 700 block of Locust St. had two vehicles parked in the front of the home damaged.

"We are treating [these incidents] as being related or connected incidents," Marc Hornstein, Winnetka Police Commander, said. "All of the incidents involving the damaged tires are believed to have occurred during overnight hours and were punctured with an unknown object. We have not made any arrests from these incidents as of this time."

Tires were damaged in all of the incidents. The damage totals $1975 for the four incidents.
