Dewey's Opens to Rave Reviews

Dewey's, the recently-opened fast food restaurant in downtown Glencoe, has been open for less than a month and already has rave reviews on Yelp. 

The restaurant, located at 667 Vernon Ave. in the former Vernon's on Vernon location, has four-and-a-half stars out of five on Yelp, with five reviews. 

"Dewey's is a heaven send," Yelp reviewer W.F. said. "Food is great. Staff is great. Prices are fair. It's just the right speed if you have kids."

Yelp reviewer AK P. agreed. 

"Ask anyone, Dewey's is a much-needed addition to [the] Glencoe and Highland Park communities," she wrote. "It's a fresh, casual, upbeat burger, hot dog, sandwich, pizza and salad place. The menu has something for everyone AND bonus, they serve beer and wine." 

Reviewer Andrea R. noted that while Guildhall is still a big hit for fine dining, Dewey's is a great place to bring the kids. 

"They have a fab kids' menu (mac 'n cheese, cheese tenders, hot dogs and hamburger sliders)," she wrote. "The portions are pretty big for little ones; it took three meals for my daughter to finish her mac 'n cheese (with some help from mom.)"
