Partners For Progress, NFP Therapeutic Riding Center (PFP) provides unique, therapy-based programs utilizing horses in a non-competitive environment for learning new abilities, self-discipline, and improved concentration which assists in building self-confidence, self-esteem, and coping skills. They utilize a goal-oriented, success achievement systems incorporating the participant, therapist, instructor, and family members. This unique system currently has 5 years of outcome history supporting a 70% goal-achievement success rate.

By partnering more than 160 individuals per week with licensed therapists, community volunteers, and specially trained horses, PFP enables these individuals to develop the skills needed to reach their fullest potential and become an integrated member of their community. Partners For Progress serves children and adults with special needs - including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, brain injuries, veteran conditions, and more - so that they may achieve a more functional future through carry-over skills gained in a holistic environment into their home, school, work, and community.

Partners For Progress is the only therapeutic riding center in Illinois and Wisconsin that supports a traveling, national show team for their participants that wish to compete beyond the Special Olympics environment. They also work with other local, non-profit disability supporting organizations, the court systems, and at-risk youth organizations, helping to achieve their missions while providing job-training and employment opportunities to participants whenever possible, along with numerous volunteer opportunities.
