Disorderly Conduct A victim reported that on Feb. 15, after delivering pizzas to a home on the 100 block of Westview Rd., she observed two juveniles make inappropriate gestures and partially expose themselves, Winnetka Police reports state. A susbsequent investigation identified two junveniles, ages 10 and 12, as responsible. In cooperation with the juveniles' parents, the matter was resolved. A NTHS student is being charged with disorderly conduct after sending a threatening message on Twitter.
Police are warning students to think before they tweet after a 16-year-old male juvenile is being charged with disorderly conduct after sending a suspicious message on Twitter threatening to bring a bomb to New Trier High School, Winnetka Police reports state. Students were not evacuated from the school. The tweet stated that the juvenile was going to bring a bomb to school and blow it up. The message came to the attention of Winnetka Police on the morning of March 6, and officers were able to confirm that there was no bomb within the morning. Identity Theft A victim discovered between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 that an unknown offender(s) attempted to open an unauthorized credit card account using the victim's personal information, according to Winnetka Police reports. No loss was reported. Theft Two male juveniles, both 16 years old from the New Trier Township, were arrested and charged with theft, according to the Winnetka Police Department. The arrests were made subsequent to an investigation of missing laptop computers taken from the school. The theft occurred sometime between Oct. 4 and Jan. 3.
