Winnetka Police Blotter: Teen Received Months of Unwanted Texts Messages

March 23 Traffic Arrest - A 41-year-old man from Maywood was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. He was also cited for failure to use a turn signal when required. This arrest was made subsequent to a traffic stop. His court date is scheduled for May 9.  Criminal Defacement - An officer discovered graffiti on the exterior structure beam in front of the business space at 852 Green Bay Road. This may have occurred sometime on March 22. Public works was notified for removal. --  A citizen reported graffiti on the Spruce Street side of the Laundry Mall. Winnetka Police Blotter: False ID, Cannabis Possession, Traffic Arrests and More

March 12 Criminal Damage: Unknown suspect(s) broke the driver-side window of a school van parked in the 100 block of Linden Street between March 9 and 12. The amount of damage is unknown. March 13 Obstructing Identification / Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency: A 26-year-old female from Lombard was arrested for presenting a false identity to avoid arrest on March 13 at 11 a.m. Police also discovered a Dpage County warrant for harassment by telephone when processing the woman. She was arrested during a suspicious person complaint at the Metra Station. Her court date is March 30. March 14 Fraud Deception: An unknown suspect(s) attempted to fraudulently use the American Express card number of a Winnetkan resident to purchase an iPod touch. …

Northfield Police Blotter: Theft, Drugs and Drunk Driving

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 7 Service to fire department: Police responded to reports of a Dumpster fire just after 7:30 a.m. outside Raymond and Associates (222 Northfield Rd.). The officer said the flames reached as high as the building and melted the paint on the Dumpster as well as the top lids. The fire department didn't consider the blaze to have a suspicious origin, and they contacted waste management to provide a new Dumpster. Feb. 9 Theft: Sometime between the end of December and Feb. 9, two watches were stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of Arbor Lane. They were valued at $500 each. The case is still under investigation, so no further details were available. Possession: A 13-year-old Northfield boy was caught with cannabis and homemade drug …

Last week: Winnetka Police Blotter: Traffic Arrest, Burglary, Criminal Damage Jan. 26 Cannabis activity - A 16-year-old male from the New Trier Township area was cited for possession of cannabis on the Winnetka campus of New Trier High School. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 27. Traffic arrest - A 47-year-old woman from Waukegan was arrested for driving with a suspended drivers license. This arrest was made subsequent to a traffic crash investigation on the 600 block of Green Bay Road. Her court date is scheduled for March 15. Northfield Police Blotter: Drugs and DUI

LAST WEEK: Northfield Police Blotter: Theft, Fleeing Police Jan. 3 Possession of drugs: A 30-year-old Evanston man was arrested just before 12:30 p.m. when he drove the illegal way down a one-way alley near the intersection of Happ and Willow roads. During the traffic stop, the officer noticed a plastic bag of cannabis in the back seat. The man was cited for possession of marijuana and disobeying a traffic control device. Jan. 7 DUI: A police officer saw a 23-year-old Northfield woman turn left on a red traffic signal around 3:45 a.m. The officer stopped and arrested her, and while they were at the police station, the officer smelled cannabis on her. Last week: Winnetka Police Blotter: Two Burglaries Reported Without Stolen Property Nov. 29 Cannabis - A 23-year-old man from South Holland, Ill. was cited for possession of cannabis, failure to signal and illegal transportatin of alcohol at 754 Elm St. His court date is Jan. 5.  -- Assistance - A 20-year-old woman from Calumet City was arrested for an in-state warrant issued by Elgin for failure to appear on traffic charges at 754 Elm St. Elgin confirmed the warrant, and she was taken to the Winnetka police station. Winnetka Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance

Last week's Winnetka blotter: Trespasser in Winnetka Public Library Nov. 1 Possession of a controlled substance – A 51-year-old Glencoe resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The man and a 31-year-old Evanston resident were also charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe. This arrest was made subsequent to a 911 call for a report of an unresponsive subject on the premises of a house on the 300 block of Rosewood Ave. Their court dates were Nov. 2.  Identity theft – A victim discovered an unknown offender attempted to change the victim’s address and open a new credit card account from Capital One.
