The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.   March 13 Criminal Damage: A streetsign at the corner of Blackthorn and Pine Street was defaced. The cost of the repair is estimated to be $100. Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol): A 28-year-old Prospect Heights man was stopped by police at 1:37 a.m. at Provident and Pine St. He arrested on a DUI charge and cited for disobeying a stop sign and illegal transportation of open alcohol.   March 12 Theft: About $900 worth of corrugated cardboard was reported stolen from a business in the…
