Traffic Arrest Jose Torres-Gutierrez, 33, of Gurnee is being charged with driving without a valid driver's license and disobeying a stop sign on the 200 block of Green Bay Rd., according to Winnetka Police reports. The incident occurred on Jan. 28 and his court date is set for Feb. 27. Outstanding Warrants Heather Q. Hundley, 22, of Winnetka was arrested for two outstanding bond forfeiture warrants, according to Winnekta Police reports. Burglary-Motor Vehicle A victim reported between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. July 2, an unknown offender(s) removed a Garmin GPS and a cord from her locked vehicle. The loss is estimated at $170. Criminal Damage A police officer observed a group of minors spray painting bed sheets, and in the process, got paint on the ground at Wilson St. and Winnetka Ave July 7 at 11:40 p.m. Public works was notified for removal. Identity Theft A victim living in the 200 block of Winnetka Avenue reported July 7 that sometime between midnight June 11 and midnight June 13, an unknown offender(s) made two unauthorized transfers from a credit card in the amount of $27,475.49. Theft A victim discovered that between March 18 and June 6, unknown offender(s) removed a box containing sterling silver flatware from their residence in the 100 block of Sheridan Road. The loss totaled $6,000. A victim discovered between June 3 and June 8 that unknown offender(s) removed jewelry from her bedroom jewelry box in the 200 block of White Oak Lane. The loss totaled $2,000. A victim discovered around 1 p.m. on June 6 that unknown offender(s) removed a paper bag filled with donated athletic shoes from the 1000 block of Tower Road.
