Drew, 44, of 1619 Monroe St., Evanston, was arrested Dec. 27 for burglary at 620 Lincoln Avenue following an investigation of a previous burglary that occurred in August, police said. She was issued a Dec. 28 court date.  DUI John E Richardson, 61, of 1380 Pauly Dr., Gurnee, was arrested Dec. 27 for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Oak Street. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was …

Earlier: $10K Ring, iPhone Stolen, New Trier Teen Nabbed for Fake ID Theft Three winter coats, a pair of earrings, several silver serving spoons and cash were reported stolen from several locations throughout a home in the 600 block of Garland Ave. between on Oct. 31 and Dec. 10 The loss is estimated at $5,700.  An employee at 811 Elm St. discovered at about 9 p.m. on Dec. 12 that an unsecured bank deposit bag was missing, the amount of loss is estimated at $1,100. The loss exceeds $10,000, police said.  iPhone Theft A woman reported that an iPhone was stolen from her purse at 490 Hibbard Road between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Dec. 8. Police: Woman Arrested in Winnetka, Part of Florida Identity Theft Ring

Winnetka police say the Florida woman presented a forged check and stolen identification to a teller at Northern Trust Bank.

A woman arrested in Winnetka is believed to be connected with a Florida-based identity theft ring, Winnetka police said.  Molly E. Meiring, 35, of 5741 NE 18th Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., was charged with identity theft and forgery on Nov. 29, according to police reports. Winnetka police responded to the Northern Trust Bank at 62 Green Bay Rd., Thursday afternoon on a report of a woman attempting to cash a forged check. The teller recognized Meiring as a possible suspect in an internal security bulletin and alerted Winnetka police while Meiring was still in the drive through, police said.  Meiring and her vehicle were located and detained in the bank’s drive through and police say subsequent investigation found that Meiring presented a …
