Winnetka Firefighters Investigating Fire on Bryant Winnetka Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Bryant Avenue. North Shore's Top 10 Sports Moments in 2010 - 2011

As we prepare for another new school year, here's a look back. The baseball and boys basketball teams captured the first regional championships in North Shore history.

With the assistance of North Shore Country Day athletic director Patrick McHugh, here are the Top 10 moments in North Shore athletics over the past school year. 10. Girls Volleyball defeats University High for the first time in 15 years: Rallying back after losing a tough first set, North Shore hung on to defeat its conference rival 20-25, 25-9, 25-23. Reducing the number of service errors was key for the Raiders, who moved to 2-6 with the win. 9. Girls Basketball wins Thanksgiving Tournament with Short Roster: With only eight players on the roster, North Shore knew it was going to be a rebuilding year. New Trier's Top 10 Sports Moments of 2010-2011

Boys lacrosse won its seventh straight championship while swimming teams were dominant at the state championships.

Here are Patch's top 10 sports moments for New Trier during the past school year. 10. Basketball Teams Sweep Evanston at Northwestern: While both Trevian teams were bounced early in the playoffs, they each won the second of their two annual meetings with CSL South rival Evanston. The boys were led by Connor Boehm in a second-half comeback while the girls welcomed back Abby Schmitt with a decisive victory. 9. Softball Rallies to Win Super-Sectional: Down to its last six outs, New Trier scored two runs in the sixth inning to tie the game, 2-2, on a bases-loaded single by Eileen Hurley. Brigit Ieuter held Lake Zurich scoreless in the seventh and eighth innings and Molly Morrison delivered an RBI double to score Chelsea Delaney for the winning…
