The following reports were provided by the Northfield Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt. Sudden Death On March 27, someone reported being unable to reach his elderly mother for a few days, and being unable to enter her home because of an interior lock, according to police. With fire department assistance, police made entry to the elderly woman's home on the 1000 block of N. Happ Road, where the woman would found deceased, police say. She was transported to Evanston hospital where she was pronounced dead, and nothing seemed unusual about her passing, according to police. The following reports were provided by the Northfield Police Department. Accident On March 5, near the intersection of Willow Road and Lockwood Avenue, an officer noticed a damaged stop sign with debris from a Ford motor vehicle in the area, but no other other signs of an offending vehicle, according to police. A search of the area produced no results, police say. Suspicious Person On March 14, Northbrook police assisted a Glencoe Public Safety call and helped search for someone in the area of W. Frontage Road and Tower Road, where a suspicious person was sighted traveling on foot around closed office buildings around 11:30 p.m.
