Northfield Blotter: DUI, Man Refuses Help Getting Home, Wants to Run Home

Hoard St., Evanston was cited Dec. 14 for driving in the wrong lane, driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver and driving with a blood alcohol content level greater than .08, following a traffic stop on W. Earlier: Christmas Lights Wire Cut, $200 Stolen, Traffic Arrests Deceptive Practice A resident in the 1800 block of Old Willow Road reported two unauthorized transactions totaling $7,500 on his online banking statement on Nov. 29. The resident notified the bank and they canceled the credit card and credited the resident’s account.  North Shore Vascular Associates, 495 Central Ave., told police someone tried to cash or deposit two unauthorized checks for a total of $5,550 at a bank in Arlington Heights between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Dec. 12. Another purchase worth $1,000 was also attempted at a Best Buy but the credit card company declined it. The resident says she still has possession of her credit card and is unsure how her credit card information was stolen. 9 Vehicles Burglarized on Riverside Drive, Pistol Stolen from Northfield Home

Happ road between Sept. 24 and Oct. 23, according to police.  Residential Burglary A French door was broken inside a home in the 200 block of Shadow Woods Lane on Oct. 20. The victim told police the front door was unlocked and nothing was taken. The cost to repair the French door was estimated at $1,000. Northfield Police Investigating 11 Burglaries From Unlocked Vehicles Over 3 Days

The incidents took place between Oct. 21 and 23 around the village.

Northfield police are investigating 11 burglaries from motor vehicles throughout the village, according to a press release.  The incidents took place during the overnight hours between Oct. 21 and 23 in the areas of the 1700 block of Harding Road and the 100 to 200 blocks of Riverside Drive.  Police say all the vehicles were unlocked at the times of the burglaries. Stolen items include GPS devices, prescription drugs, cell phones, manuals and documents, cash, tools, electronics and other items of value.  “Most vehicles burglaries have one thing in common: something valuable left in the car.
