Glencoe Social Club Brings the Community Closer
Club helps both newcomers and lifelong residents make new friends.
For some people, the hardest part about moving to a new city isn't house-hunting or packing up your old home — it's meeting people and becoming a part of the new community. This is where the Glencoe Social Club (formerly called Glencoe Newcomers and Neighbors) aims to help. The club — which welcomes newcomers, lifelong residents and everyone in between — hosts a variety of events throughout the year in order to form a sense of community and help members meet new friends. The events include "Guy's Nights," family ice skating events and beach parties. They also host three (soon to be four) weekly playgroups and a monthly bookclub.
