Gretchen Carlson of Fox & Friends introduced Rice as having voted for Obama in 2008, but now unemployed will be changing his support by voting for Mitt Romney in the upcoming presidential election. When Carlson asked why Rice will be voting for Romney, the Glencoe native replied, “It’s actually a funny story. I lost a basketball game to a friend of mine … who’s a huge supporter of this show.” Watch the interview in the video by clicking above. Rice failed to answer the questions directly and Carlson ends up ending the interview by …

Northfield residents could get cheaper electricity by participating in a program offered by Lake Shore Power Alliance.
While Northfield officials are seeking cheaper electricity via an electricity aggregation referendum, residents are already able to obtain cheaper rates through the Lake Shore Affinity Program, according to the village website. “Through the Lakeshore Affinity Program, your electricity supply rates would be fixed at 4.035 cents/kWh through May 2013. If the referendum passes, you should be able to transition to the Lakeshore Power Alliance's Municipal Aggregation Program in January 2013,” according to the village’s website. The Forest Glen improvements would add about $685,000 to the estimated $2.9 million it would cost for flood reduction improvements in Northwest Winnetka.
Residents in the Forest Glen neighborhood may soon get relief from flood-related issues after Winnetka trustees directed staff to add Forest Glen in the engineering designs for flood reduction improvements in Northwest Winnetka. “This absolutely dovetails into the Tower Road and Greenwood project,” Trustee Richard Kate said at a recent village council study session. “The bottom line is there is no rational reason not to do it.” The Northwest Winnetka Flood Reduction Improvements include adding new storm sewers for the Greenwood Avenue area to withstand 4.47 inches of downpour in two hours. The Forest Glen improvements would add about $685,000 to the estimated $2.9 million it would cost for flood reduction improvements in Northwest …
